What magazines take submissions from non-professional writers?

I have written an article I would love to get published in a magazine about relationships and would like to know which are the best publications for me to submit to that are most likely to easily accept my submission. It is a relatively short article, only about 4 paragraphs but, I've had numerous people tell me to get it published. I'd like to know also if any of the magazines will pay me for the submission.
