Do fungi spread spores like a ''gas''?

It's more like dust than gas. The spores come out in a cloud similar to what you might see if you were to blow on a very dusty table but the particles are even smaller. Gas is a state of matter, but spores are still very much solid even though they are extremely tiny. So yes, they are indeed spores but they're not a gas, just dust.
